Questioning the Health's Ethics

How important is the price in public health?

To answer this question first we have to answer: Is the health a public good?

Often the people are confused by the positive externalities with a public benefits obtained of the personal benefits of the private services. Remember the public health is supplied by private physicians to private people, in other words, to individuals not to the masses.

What so ethical is the answer of the main question? Meanwhile politicians say that public health is a public problem, we are in conflict with the efficiency. The public services in health just exist to justify the resources transferring from patients to physicians or state to health workers. The reality nobody are talking about of  which are the costs to maintain the wide beliefs that citizens health are free, but the costs are being paid for sickness people who knows maybe they're dying while waiting a treatment.

In health issues the economist brightening up to say something, physicians in reality aren't being God like patient’s thinking. They have a terrific responsibility to themselves in their health. They know in detail the laws that favor them in some issues, and health is not exeption. Why not in health? Is the state the responsible of their health?

The price is the most relevant piece of the chain of the factors in the modern health; it has the ability to discriminate between living or dying. That means that people is has the rights to show their preferences, and legally they wants preferential attention in hospitals. The price reveals how scarce physician is in determinate moment. Maybe if health authority leaves to the hospitals directors free, markets could operate on evenings and weekends and the price will go up automatically notifying to physicians an opportunity. It means more patients could be attended.

The correct answer is very important! The scariest resources are the expensives. If the scarced resource is valued by the society that signal has something to transmit to the public health. These scarced resources have the rights to be used for who needs them. People have rights to pay for medical treatments and the society has the obligation to attend this request.

Ethical thinking is who has more rights, or who could do more for us. The markets or the state? markets are working and its answer is mechanical one, instead the state are very slower  answer. 

When a public employee is in charge of my health I have to worry for myself. When the states are worry for people? States send them to fight in wars where most are risk of death. Why the state now is going to be worry for the public health? Answer: For convenience of the groups of interest.

The efficient health is made with own responsibility by the way under my proper cost. If the price reveals the real preferences, nobody would overconsumption health services.  

The states have justification to come in when the markets hides information or whe positive externalities are difficult to internalize. An example like vaccines where is convenient to the state invest.
